Someone has idea of which is the record of a switch up on network?

Re: REcord of a switch up on netwok

Have a look in packet magazine - I seem to remember there was a competition recently for the the longest up-time, in the letters page I think. It was certainly in years, and I think it was of the order of 7 years.

Look on the letters page here: http://www.cisco.com/web/about/ac123/ac114/downloads/packet/pdf/PK181_issue.pdf

Pedro

If your question about the longest amount of time that some switch has been active on the network it would certainly be measured in years.

I know that. I want to know if there are any estadistica in the world about this and any have the information, about the equipment with most high availability.
