Recovering a Cat6k CatOS Switch Configuration

How easy is it to recover a Catalyst 6500-series CatOS switch configuration, assuming that the configuration file is available.

Can the file be TFTP'ed directly onto the switch (as would be the case with IOS routers (into startup-config), or does the file need to be pre-processed before it can be TFTP'ed to the switch, where presumably the set-based commands are executed as they are encountered. The documentation suggests that the configuration file needs to be modified to include responses to some commands for "script-based" configration. Therefore, does TFTPing a configuration file constitute a scripted configuration?

Re: Recovering a Cat6k CatOS Switch Configuration

The following document talks about downloading a configuration from the TFTP server to the switch, and I don't see any mention of modifying it to include responses to some commands. http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/lan/cat6000/sw_8_1/confg_gd/config.htm
