Redistribution of Statics into OSPF for BRI interfaces

I am redistributing statics for on demand circuits into OSPF, looking at the OSPF database external they are there and the routing tables reflect the correct next hop. When I try to connect to the remote site the bri comes up and the router generates another LSA seeting the metric to infinity and removing it from the OSPF databases and routing tables. This appears to occur when the address of the remote router becomes directly connected in the routing table opposed to a static entry.

It looks like the redistribute only looks in the routing table for static entries and as such no longer advertises it when the route changes to directly connected, is there any way around this.

Try configuring "no peer neighbor-route" under the bri interface.

Hope this helps,
