Hello,

What I have are 2 - 6509's etherchannled together and I have 2 3640's. Each 3640-Router 1 connects to remote sites thru Frame-Relay and have 2 FE lets say 0/0 assigned 192.168.1.2 and FE/01 going to core 2 as 192.168.2.4. Core 1 has a VLAN 5 IP address 192.168.1.1 and VLAN 6 as 192.168.2.1. Core 2 has VLAN 5 IP address of 192.168.1.3 nd VALN 6 IP address 192.168.2.2. Router 2 - 3640 has 2 FE one with IP address FE0/0 192.168.2.2 and FE0/1 of IP Address 192.168.1.4. VLAN 1 is the Management VLAN 10.150.0.x, VLAN 2-VLAN8 VLAN 11 and VLAN 15.

I want to make this totally redundant. If core 1 goes down then FE0/1on Router 1 can take over. I would like to load balance if possible but making one the active and the other failover is acceptable.

I knw how to do HSRP on the core and EIGRP is turned on in the routers. The router not only do IP but IPX as well. I looked at GLBP but its for redunatn links out to the internet on SEPERATE routers for which I do not have. Any suggestions or comments are graceously appreciated.

Thanks!

Could you attach a diagram (gif or jpg format)? It's hard to understand from the text description what the network looks like.
