I am looking at configuring two 3640's in parallel for redundancy as the core for our enterprise network. I am familiar with the concept of using a virtual IP but have never configured a network for it. I am not familiar with the hardware that would be required to share the front end (T1's). Is there a white paper or other documentation that would provide the basics?
Thanks,

HSRP is what you'll be configuring. The following pages should help

The information provided is right on target for what I'm trying to accomplish. Thanks! However, I also need information on what's available to feed both routers. This may not have been clear when I submitted my question. I'm planning on using a 6 meg ATM pipe to feed the 2 routers that will be located at an AT&T site. What I'm looking for is the hardware that can provide the traffic to the routers so they can do their load-share thing. I do know that there is a Mux that will provide one or the other data (though I don't know what brand/models are available), but that won't allow sharing the load.
Thanks again!
