Redundant WAN links config?

I am trying to set up a 1721 running 12.2(4) with a T1 WIC and an ethernet WIC. The T1 is running over a leased line with PPP encapsulation. The ethernet card will be connected to Cable modem. I need to set up NAT as well. I want to be able to use the T1 for everything until it goes down, then shift all traffic to the ethernet/cable modem. This is for highly available internet access only, no services being hosted inside private network. If you could point me in the right direction, I would be most appreciative.

Thanks,

Dave

You could use two static defaults.

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0

ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 50

50 is the administrative distance for the route via cable modem. Thiswill ensure that the route via cablemodem will be used only if t1 goes down.

Are both the t1 and cable mode from same service provider or different. You can use NAT with route maps to NAT to the appropriate service provider address space.
