I have users who connect to my network remotely. Currently we are using CDPD and the IPs on the remote machines (laptops) are static. We are moving to GPRS with ATT and they only have dynamic IP. Is there a way to use GPRS and use static IP.
When you mention ATT are you talking AT&T Wireless. If so, what vendor of GGSNs. I would say most GGSN implementations should be able to handle create PDP context with static IP as the allocation method. Acutally I think it depends largely on the client that initiated the tunnel request, how the address info element is filled in on the create pdp context request msg that is sent as part of the tunnel request.
