Remote sites to balance with RIPv2 protocol

I have some sites which advertise the networks with RIPv2 to the backbone network.

There are 2 backbone routers to collect these sites.

Backbone routers are running BGP with other backbone routers.

I would like to balance the sites on both backbone collect routers.

Each remote site has got 2 CVP FR connections (DLCI 100 and 200)to these collect routers.

So I plan to configure for example

router rip

offset-list 0 in 5 Serial0/0.200

offset-list 0 out 5 Serial0/0.200

router rip

offset-list 0 in 5 Serial0/0.100

offset-list 0 out 5 Serial0/0.100

Is there another method , I would like to use the tags but are they advertised through RIP updates ? And a route-map is necessary on the sites to set the tags, isn't it ?

Thanks in advance

Re: Remote sites to balance with RIPv2 protocol

I don't think you'll need to do anything with tags. I'm assuming you're trying to load share between the "other backbone routers" and the collection routers, and that each site has a single FR PVC to each of the collection routers. If so, redistributing the RIPV2 routes into BGP and configuring BGP on the backbone routers to share traffic over multiple paths via the "maximum-paths" command may suffice.

This depends on the details of your backbone network, though.
