Hi ,

Hope I'm being clear ...

Is there anyway to remove the delimiter from the username when it reaches the lns and before it goes behind the Ethernet to the radius for authentication ? my radius does not like getting long usernames and signs like @ ..

thanks

Thanks ,

i want to strip the domain BEFORE it is sent to the radius ... at the lns level

The url Mark had given you do discuss that "how to send only username" to radius server, stripping the domain name at Access Server..Pl. see the following para at that url

http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/480/domain_stripping_hack.html#rad

Here is the para on it

With this configuration, when user@website.com needs to be authenticated, the directed-request code tries to resolve the domain name to an IP address. In this case, website.com resolves to the IP address 10.1.1.1 because of the local ip host statement. The router then looks up the radius-server host line for the IP address that was resolved, and sends the authentication request for username user to the RADIUS server
