I'm new here, so forgive me if this is the wrong forum. I've been tasked with finding rack space requirements, and could find nothing on Cisco's web site.
What is being purchased is a Cisco 1720 Router, along with a Cisco 1pt want serial module (this is the info that I was given. I'm going to assume that the module is actually contained within the 1720?)
Anyway, How much rack space will be needed by this router?
Thanks and again, apologies if this is the wrong place for such a question

It is a small router, and for you to rack mount that will not take much space.

Thanks. Unfortunately, I need to know the exact rack space needed for billing purposes.

this gets interesting since the 1720 is not rack mountable.
Heres the dimensions:
3.1 x 11.2 x 8.7 in. (7.85 x 28.4 x 22.1 cm)

As has been pointed out, it will need a shelf. Minimum of 2 rack units (3.5") will be required.

Thanks. Exactly the info I was needing.
