I am trying to find the least disruptive way to reset an IOS/Router-based DHCP server. Specifically, I added an "option ## ip <addr>" line to my scopes and the option does not appear to have been handed out after I release/renewed. I am guessing the DHCP service needs to be restarted on the router???
Either way, I want to restart the DHCP server on my router without rebooting the router, if I can. Any suggestions? The only thing I can see that might work is the "no dhcp service" command, but I hesitate to use it on my production router without knowing the consequenses.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Jeff.
