Hello,

As we have given a lease line 512 to one customer

The line has been terminated on AS5300

how can i restrict the bandwith on controller .

configuration is mentioned below

bandwidth 512

ip address x.x.x.x 255.255.255.x

no ip directed-broadcast

fair-queue 64 256 0

traffic-shape rate 100000 8000 8000 1000

We like to restrict it traffic-shape rate 512000 12800 12800 1000 but the interface is not taking accepting ,I like to know how can i restrict it to 512 k .please send me the details .

Re: restricting bandwith

If this line operates at 512 Kbps, you don't need a traffic shaping at 512 Kbps rate on this interface.

Or do you want to configure some kind of subrate service on this interface? (Actual lease line speed is 512K but you want your customer to use only a portion of this). If you're intended in this kind of config, CAR (Commited Access Rate) is the right choice. It can be configured inbound / outbound also.

Regards.
