Is there a way to change the Reverse-Telnet base port number to something else? The default is to use 2000+yyy where yyy is the line number of your specific port. I would like to use 3000+yyy. (customer requirement)
3000+yyy was an arbitrary number, the customer has an application that actually connects to line 33 and the application tries to connect to port 10033. Other devices and applications use the other ports (34, 35 etc.) also on base number 10000. Bottom line is that the base number needs to be changed without the use of rotary groups so that the application can still get to it's specific line (device).
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
