If I have a router running RIP and it's being fed routes from (2) routers that are both 1 hop away, how will my router route the traffic? Will it load-balance? Do I need to configure my router to listen for equal-cost routes? Is there anything I need to do or anything I can do to better determine how traffic is routed?
Thanks

RIP will load-balance among all routes having an equal hop-count. No special configuration is required.

RIP will load balance (as they have same admin distance and metric). Take a look at this link for details (per packet and per detsination load balancing): http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk648/tk365/technologies_tech_note09186a0080094820.shtml
An interesting point to remember is: http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/105/44.html#Q17
Hope it helps.
