Generally, I can't see sending a rip table through a firewall. This information could be exploited and your network could be mapped. That said, it should work fine opening the appropriate ports on the firewall. Won't it be necessary for all the routers on the network to learn the ripv2 updates? I think you should talk to a design specialist at Cisco to determine what will work best for you.
