RME 3.5 Software Management Code Upgrade

I am trying the RME s/w management code upgrade for the first time on a 3640 but I continuously get the same error back - 'Device cannot be locked for exclusive write access.' and then 'Problem Cause: Device may be used by another Resource Manager Essentials application.' however I do not have another RME application running on my network.

Anyone seen this problem before with the code distribution tool in RME 3.5?

You can try re-starting the CW2K process and then see if that helps.

Re: RME 3.5 Software Management Code Upgrade

Procedure

From the CiscoWorks desktop, select Resource Manager Essentials > Configuration Management > Config Editor.

Select Tools > List Checked Out Files.

The Checked Out Files dialog box displays files checked out by all users.

Do one of the following

To open a file for editing, select the file, then click Open.

To unlock a file, select the file, then click Undo Checkout.

The lock is removed, and any changes are lost.

To download a file to the device, select a file, then click Download.

The Create Config Job wizard appears.

Configuration files can be unlocked only for those devices that do not have scheduled job information. To unlock a configuration file for a device that has failed job, remove the job from the job browser before unlocking. Files checkedout by ConfigEditor can not be uncheckedout by other applications like CWConfig and vice versa.
