I installed Ciscoworks2000(CWSI Campus Bundle w/Resource Manager Essentials for AIX), But the most functions of RME cannot work properly such as "add device, import file of device", why? The steps I installed is followed:

1.install CD one 4th edition on AIX 4.3.3, download and install Java plug-in(version 1.3.0) in the same machine from Ciscowork server. use netscape4.76 to start it, only when I enable java, javascirpt and disable java plugin, the login page will appear. and in this condition, I can use ciscoview.

2.install RME, most of pages on it such as "add device" in RME->Adminstarion->Inventory cannot appear, and there is not any error messages except the blank page appear, even I start the java console to monitor it.

why? pls help?

You must also install the CD-One Java plug-in patch from CCO for CW2000 to work properly. 4th Ed needs JPI 1.3.1 per http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/770/fn17662.shtml. So, the install order will be, CD-One, CD-One JPI patch, RME etc.

where can I download CD one JPI Patch 1.3.1?

But if you ask me AIX is a dead end. Cisco announced end-of-sales before Christmas for AIX and HP-UX. I suggest you migrate to Solaris or NT ASAP while Cisco still got a promotion upgrade for this.

From that website, I can see the file:cw-cd-one-ed4-pl-aix.tar.z, but have no permission to download it, why? and how can I do?

It has to do with your CCO login. Call TAC (assuming you got an support agreement).

Thanks, I have contact with my provider, but here I have a question about TAC, and I know little about TAC which is a usefull way to solve problem, I would like to know how I can use it efficiently.

would you tell me?

TAC is just Cisco's name for support. You call in with your problems and TAC solves them. TAC has a good reputation of doing problem resolution fast and efficient.

Before contacting TAC you might want to search for problem resolutions first. Look at http://www.cisco.com/public/support/tac/home.shtml
