RME configuration archive and Cat1900 / CORBA error
I have RME 3.4 with IDU 4 on Solaris 8 with latest 8_Recommended patch's. The problem, is that when trying to fetch configurations from catalyst 1900 it fails. I tried it manually with "cwconfig" as per cisco paper, and added the -l (for logging). Here is the resulting messages:
* Warning * The -p option is highly insecure and *not* recommended.
* Warning * See -u option for more details.
bash-2.03# more /tmp/cwconfig.log
* Error * (192.168.220.4) Server Runtime Error:org.omg.CORBA.UNKNOWN: minor code: 0 completed: No
Cause : null
Started: Tue Aug 19 12:15:02 GMT+00:00 2003
Ended : Tue Aug 19 12:15:28 GMT+00:00 2003
As you can see, it seems to be some kind of problem with CORBA and the way that RME gets the config from the 1900's.
With all the others (cat2900, cat2950, cat3550, cat6000, rt7500, rt3745, ls1010, cat8510, etc...) it works. I assume that it is using RCP or TFTP for the latest, and with 1900 only can do TELNET witch is failing.
By the way, i've already altered th /etc/hosts files and put the "real" hostname in first place before the localhost line (some JAVA bug mencioned on cisco paper)
Thanks for your time, sorry for seach a long post, but i have bumped the wall with this one...
