RME Syslog Analysis - cannot see syslog messages

I was previously able to view syslog messages via the "Severity Level Summary", but after trying to fault find why I couldn't see one device's messages I now no longer see any messages at all.

I've checked the following:

- syslog analyzer is running ok

- receiving messages in the syslog.log

- collector status show syslog messages being proceded

I'm running CW2000 3.4 on Windows.

Any help would be appreciated.

Are the messages showing up in the Un-Expected Device Report?. Did you try re-starting the Syslog Process?

Re: RME Syslog Analysis - cannot see syslog messages

I NOW have it working again.

Here is what I had done. When the system was installed, we had used a HOST file to do our DNS. Funny enough, at the same time I was trying to resolve my orginal problem, I cleaned out this HOST file thinking that it would used DNS. Well it did, but as you had suspected, my device names were NOW being fully resolved (, but I had NOT entered any domain field when creating new devices. Hence, there was a mismatch.

Now I have deleted and re-imported my devices with fully resolved names.

Thanks for your reply.
