I have a 2948 switch, that boots into rmon mode. I checked the config register it is 0x2. When it boots I see on the console it can't find the CFG file. Do, I just need to tftp the CFG file back onto the switch?
If it is booting into rommon then it sounds like it isn't finding a valid catos image . Try a "dir bootflash: and see if the image is there . If so from the rommon prompt issue " boot bootflash:
