ROMMON typo error

Hi, I had a problem with my 2620's booting into rommon mode when they rebooted. I found a tech note from cisco and this seemed to be working well, until i mis-typed the commands and now i cannot boot one of my routers:

the commands i was given by cisco were:

rommon 1> MONRC=BOOT=flash:,n;

rommon 2> sync

rommon 3>reset

where "n" is the number of retries required.

This was working fine until during a lapse in concentration i entered the letter n instead of a number. now i have a machine that is looking to boot from a file called "n". It cannot obviously find this file and therefore will not boot. It comes up with the message:

boot: cannot load "flash: n"

I have the commands to unset the MONRC but I cant "break" into the rommon mod to execute them. Can anyone help?

regards

Try this. Switch OFF the router. Switch it ON. Send the break signal after couple of seconds, but before 60 seconds. The "break" is enabled for the first 60 seconds after powering ON the router, irrespective of the settings in the config-register. The router shoudl return to the ROMMON now.
