Route Map on Cat 4006 (IOS)

As part of a migration, I'm setting up new PIX firewalls (on a new VLAN) that will take over from an older firewall.

I'd like to use a route map for this but, the command "ip policy route-map..." is not available on this switch.

Is there another way to provide different default gateways based on source IP address ?

Thanks

Policy-based routing should be supported:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/hw/switches/ps663/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a008011c8c7.html

Try creating a route map first before enabling it on the interface.

Hope this helps.

I can't get to that link, but I think it depends on what SUP you have. I know that SUP-II didn't support policy routing as of 6 months ago.

Did you try creating the route-map first?

Here's the URL (without login):

and some info from the Cat4000 Release Notes:

Hope this helps.

Re: Route Map on Cat 4006 (IOS)

Looks like the newest, PBR-supporting version is only for SUP-III and SUP-IV, as per the part number descriptions. I'd love to be wrong here, though, as PBR would help me out quite a bit on our SUP-II 4006.
