router cannot initialise after putting confreg 0x2142

Hi all

I have problem with my 1750 router,I was trying password recovery .immideatly when i put the statement cofreg 0x2142 on rmonn 1 and reboot the router just show me things that I cannot read and it just stops I can't go to enable mode it just stuck there and the letters are not in english.before it was on cofreg 0x2102.

I dont know what to do now because I tried to power cycle several times is not working Can anyone please help

Are you sure you typed 0x2142? If you typed 2142 (forgot the preceeding 0x) the router took the number in decimal. This would change the console speed (bits 11 and 12). I believe the console speed would be set to 4800. Try resetting the speed on your PC until you can talk to the router. Once you reestablish communication with the router set the configuration register to 0x2142 and reboot. Reset your PC to 9600 and you are good to go.
