router performance/utilisation measurement

Hello,

Performance of different router models are expressed in pps values (e.g. 2 million pps for 7500 series with CEF). How can I measure the current utilisation of my routers ? (I think CPU util is not a valid measurement for this )

I need this information for some new investment plans and future plannings.

Hi

To monitor your currently setup i would use MRTG. With this tool you can

monitor whatever MIB you want to monitor on the router. You only need SNMP

Access to the Devices.
