Router Problem?

I'm trying to log into Cisco 4500 thru telnet giving its ip address and port number.

But after I type the password in telnet it shows the message "Password OK" and after that nothing is working. Did you have such a problem before? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Router Problem?

You shouldn't need to specify a port number if you're only telneting to the router.

What port number is it? If its 2065, that means you're doing a reverse telnet to your AUX port (I'm pretty sure its 2065 on a 4500). The OK may be an AT prompt.

Re: Router Problem?

The thing is that we were connecting to the router through the Terminal server. But now I found out why it didn't work. The router was off. So I could telnet only Terminal Server and then nothing worked(of course).

Thank's for info.
