Routers in a VLAN

I am having a L3 switch ( CISCO 4003) and have several VLANs defined.

I want to extend just one of the VLANs across a WAN to another remote

location.

Is this a supported solution ?

Re: Routers in a VLAN

Not sure if I understand but lets try it. You want to have a WAN remote site be a member of an existing VLAN in your local network ? Why not creating a separate VLAN interface on your L3S for that remote site ? that way you can keep your VLAN management easy to administer by knowing which VLAN belongs where .

eg. VLAN#-L3S-----E0RouterS0-------WAN-Circuit-----S0RouterE0---Remotesite

if not then have the remote site comming into your lan be a member of the VLAN you want them to be part of.

Re: Routers in a VLAN

Is possible, this is a extension of the same net, but if you have two link active for differents net in the same remote site you'll have problem with exchange of table.

Is only a caution in contingency situation...
