Routing on a stick / VTP question.

I am curious, if I have a typical router on a stick config, multiple subinterfaces on a router all using dot1q encap and different vlan ids, so one router port can route between vlans, and I have trunkning enabled on the switch's router port also for dot1q does the router participate/receive VTP packets?

Theoretically I believe it does not or needs too. There is no vtp processing function on the router and no revision index. I tried verifying this with debug commands and made changes on the switch(cat5k) to see anything on the router but nothing showed up.

Can someone verify this?

Thanks..

As far as I know, there aren't any pure routers (i.e., not layer-3 switches) that can participate in VTP.
