routing protocols or statics

Is it better pratice to use a routing protocol or statics ? and is there any advantages to using routing protocols ?

Hi Carl,

It all depends on your network size. If you have 100 routers in your network and you want to reach all the routers just imagine how many routes you have to configure and you have to do it on all the routers manually.

Dynamic routing is easy to configure on large network and will automatically learn all the routes and administration is also easy.

Rest if you serach this topic on google or any basics networking book you will get your answer.

Hi,

Static protocals easy to configure and complex to manage, but dynamic protocals complex only at the time configuration before u have to study ur network and ur requirement but easy to manage..
