I have a workstation running an application that looks for data on one specific IP address. It can only look up one IP address. That workstation is connected to a 2610. The 2610 is connected through frame relay to 2 different 7206's via 2 different PVC's. One on a 7206 here in town and another to a 7206 in another state. Connected to the 7206's are the servers with the data needed by the workstation. I would like to build in fault tolerance so that if the 10.10.10.220 address isn't available here that traffic is routed to the 7206 out of state. What would the WAN guru's recommend?
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
