If I want to route through a cyrto map to my site, do i apply the map to an interface, then point the routes to the peer ip address, or do I point them through the serial, and use an access list that looks at the source then encrypts them through the tunnel ?

Hi Carl

1.Match the interesting traffic using Access list which is required to be encrypted.

2.Bind the access list using match command under the crypto map.

3.Then apply the crypto map under the interface which gets you connected to the outside world.

4.Inline with the routing do create a default route and point it towards the serial/WAN interface connecting to the SP.

what if I have 2 serial connections, and I only want the encrypted traffic to go out of 1 serial, do I point that network out of the serial, and apply crypto to that interface ?

Hi Carl

Yes you can do that but do take care of NAT if its configured in your router.
