Routing to an external domain or IP

Hi,

I have a 2620 router with static NAT. Is there a way to route one of the external IPs to an outside domain.

63.xx.xx.xx -> www.mycompany.com

Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Routing to an external domain or IP

Technically you can, depending on how you are setup, but I do not know of any Tier1 providors who will route a /32 so it will not work.

If you have a web server local to your lan you can use the webserver to redirect the traffic. Thats the easiest and cleanest way.

But since you are talking about DNS, why does it matter what IP address the domain resolves to?
