routing

I have 3 cisco routers...r1, r2 and r3. r3 connects to r2 and r2 to r1. All three are visible on the net. I need to be able to see r1 from r3, but I can't. r1 and r2 can ping devices all over the net, including r3. For some reason r3 cannot see anything except r2 it's gateway. I built a static route in r3 to goto r2, and I have put a static route in r2 to r1. Again r2 and r1 can ping anything....why isn't r3 able to ping anything except r2?

Post your configs.

Maybe your static route isn't correct. We will need to see your configs to actually see the problem.

can R1 ping R3 ?

What is your static route on R3 and R2 ?

Don't forget the return path. R3 may know how to reach the rest of the network, but nobody knows how to reach R3.
