RTR memory hog

I am running a 2611 using 12.0(7)T and testing rtr. It seems that as I add and remove the probes, the memory usage isn't going down and I eventually have to restart the rotuer to regain the memory that the rtr allocates. Is there a command to get the rtr to release its memory after the probe is deleted?

Re: RTR memory hog

I am aware of a reboot as the only way of releasing memory. Did you consider the possibility of memory fragmentation as against memory leak. It is easily verified using the commands show proc mem and show mem summ. For information on troubleshooting memory issues, you could refer to 'Troubleshooting Memory Problems' at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps1831/products_tech_note09186a00800a6f3a.shtml.
