RxCBLDrop

When I perform a show counters on a 10/100 port (Catalyst 5509 WS-X5225R) there is a counter for RxCBLDrop. Can someone explain what information this counter is reporting? I have searched Cisco's web site, and I cannot find any useful information regarding this counter.

This counter gets incremented if the port is dropping frames because of

a spantree blocked state. Color blocking errors are generated when a

configured port on a switch is seeing frames from a VLAN other than the one

it is configured to support. Usually the "RxCBLDrop" counter gets incremented if the port is dropping frames because of a spantree blocked state for a particular vlan.

Is this port configured as a trunk? Can you post the output of sh spantree x/y

Does the counter increment? clear counters and monitor. Also what connects to this port and what software version are you running

The device connected to this port is a G3 iMac. This machine is pulling graphics files from a G4 server and manipulates the data. The counter is only incrementing when the iMac crashes. Here is a sho ver of the switch it is connected to:
