hi,
Can I save my config to a text file within a telnet session on my 2500 series router?
Thanks.

Yes you can........if you are using hypertermial, or most any other telnet application...just log the text to a file.....for ease of display before you show the running config, do a term length 0....this will scroll the entire config without having to have a pause....just don't forget to reset with a term len 24 command

Hi,
yes, you can - do show running on Your router and scrool through full configuration, then copy output You had and paste it into a text file, or turn on logging on terminal program and do show running again.
Hope that helps

Stephen:
You have a few options:
on enable mode (router#) you can do a write network and specify a tftp server address.
You can do a sh run and copy it from your terminal window.
You can use hyperterminal and log your session to a text file and then do a sh run. Close the session and then open the text file.
