save configurations

I know that configuration changes made on IOS-based switches apply only to the active running configuration, stored in RAM,not NVRAM.

but how about set-based swithes?

Re: save configurations

In Cat OS based switches, there is no concept of startup and running config. Each time you hit the enter key after configuring something, it gets saved in NVRAM
