I am new to Cisco Networking so forgive the ignorance.

I have a 2600 router which I connect to using a console cable with one Ethernet interface configured. I have setup TFTP server and am able to copy config back and forth. I need to know when I am in the field and I need to copy a config using just the console cable is there a way to copy config using Xmodem on the Hyperterm like I would when updating the IOS through rmon mode or must I always have routing path available to a TFTP server to copy configs.

You can copy/paste the config into a notepad file or use logging option of hyperterminal and save it into a file
