Saving running configuration on 4006

This is probably very basic, but I haven't done it before on this type of router.

Catalyst 4006 Router

IOS 7.3(1)

Please let me know how to save configuration changes made to the memory so that they take affect even after a reset.

Re: Saving running configuration on 4006

To my knowledge, the 4006 is a catalyst switch that runs on CATOS. Assuming that your bootvar and config register are configured correctly, every change made is sent to NVRAM and will be available after reset.

Try "write memory" or "copy run start"

Re: Saving running configuration on 4006

Hi,

By default, the config is saved to NVRAM every time you execute a command. However, there is an option to change the config mode to text. If this is changed as such, then you need to do a "write mem" as you would on a router.

So assuming you have not made such a change, you don't need to do anything to save the config.

HTH,

Bobby
