Scheduling interface shutdowns

I have a 4507 and would like to confirm from my research taht you cannot schedule a interface to shutdown or disable on a calendar type of situation. It is either enabled or disabled basically. I have looked and havent seen anything supporting a yes there for I am goinig with the no. If anyone could plse help I would appreciate it.

Re: Scheduling interface shutdowns

I have checked and you cannot do this from the CLI however you can perform this from Ciscoworks 2000.

I have considered using this facility myself.

Within Ciscoworks you have a feature called "NetConfig". You can schedule any kind of config change.

Do you have Ciscoworks at all ?

Kindest Regards...

Re: Scheduling interface shutdowns

I just want to make sure that I have it right. In cisco works I have checked out somethings but you are saying that i can schedule a port to shutdown on a time base. Do you know if you can reenable it as well on a time base like a time frame that it will automatically enable and disable daily? Thanks for you help
