Script or Command Line Access to database

I would like to be able to retrieve events logged in the RME database

from the command line of both win2k and unix boxes. I don't want to

make any changes, just data retrieval. Is there one or more tools

available which would allow me to do so?

Thanks,

johnc

If you're using RME 3.4, you can look at Data Extraction Engine (DEE) at:

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/cw2000-rme

It extracts data for devices managed by RME 3.4 from the RME inventory database and configuration archive in the required XML format. It can be run from CLI.

If you're using RME 3.3, you can use the DevExp script from:

http://sourceforge.net/projects/cosi-nms which does the same.

Thank you very much for your assistance.

Do similar tools exist for accessing rme data related to availability,

change audit, syslog analysis and software mgmt?

Thanks in advance,

johnc

No, currently it's Inventiory and Config only.

Thanks again for the help.

You say "currently". Do you know if additional tools to access the

rest of the rme db from the command line are due out soon? If

so, when?

Thanks again,

johnc

Not sure, may be.
