secondary ip address kills PAT

I have a nat pool like this:

xxx.xxx.xxx.224/28

I have several translations like this:

ip nat inside source static tcp 10.10.21.102 80 xxx.xxx.xxx.229 80 extendable

When I set a secondary IP address on my internal interface it "kills" my translations. The secondary IP address I have added is like this:

ip address xxx.xxx.xxx.225 255.255.255.240 secondary

I really need this to work. I have also tried it on the loopback and it didn't work. Any ideas?

Re: secondary ip address kills PAT

hi

Are you trying out to configure a secondary ip address taken out from the nat pool ??

If yes is there any purpose behind it ? since you can do one to one translations over ther using that public ip to your servers as you have already done for http service.

Have you tried configuring ethernet subinterfaces instead of configuring it as secondary on the primary main interface ?

Also dont you have additional spare port over there in your router so that you can configure this one on the spare port ..
