Hi, i have a remote office with a subinterface
serial 0.16 with an ip 172.29.2.60 i'm changing the ip schema so i added a secondary ip 10.172.20.2,my question is why can't i ping the secondary address?
what's missing ? i have only static routes.
Thanks,

Well, I've never tried secondary addressing on a FR interface. The only problem that I would see might have to do with the mapping between the DLCI and the IP address(es). Maybe you can add a map statement pointing to the secondary address.
router(config-if)#frame-relay map ip {secondary IP} {DLCI} [broadcast]
I know that you can specify two different protocol addresses on the same DLCI, but I don't know if you can overload two IP addresses this way. Don't have a frame relay switch handy either so I can't say for sure if this will help. Let me know.

Did you add a static route between the remote address and the router? I have a lot of these connected router to router. One problem I have had is the telco not assigning the DLCI I expected to the pvc.
