we are offering an ADSL services to our customers over our network which contain the following Hardware:
1- Core layer : Cisco Catalyst 6506
2- Distribution layer : Cisco WS-C3550-24
3- Access Layer : Cisco WS-C2950T-24
The case is that our customers is connected to Layer 2 DSLAM and the DSLAM is connected to the Layer 2 switch
Cisco WS-C2950T-24 all this is done at the ACCESS Layer, the problem is that the customers can see each others and can see the sheared files and can see the work groups so I need a solution that can help me to isolate these customers.
I assume the 3550 and the 6509 do not have layer 3 capabilities, so putting the ports into VLANs wouldn´t work. To add access layer security to the ports, you could use mac-address security. The downside is that you really have to know all the MAC addresses of your customers. Do configure this, add the following command in global configuration mode:
