I seek a Cisco Layer 3 swicth that meets the following requirements:
1. NEBS Compliant
2. DC Power, pref dual redundant supplies
3: Layer 3 capabilities:
A: IP Routing including OSPF area participation
B: IP ACLs that operate at line rate
C: Policy based routing
D: VRRP support
4: Layer 2 capabilities:
A: Port Monitoring
C: PPPoE aggregation (Not required but preferred)
5: Physical Interface capabilities:
A: 2 to 4 GBIC interfaces, or long distance fiber interfaces
B: 8 or more 10/100 copper interfaces, 10/100/1000 is happily within spec
6: Remote Management requirements:
A: SSH
B: SNMP
C: User level ACLs for management
We have considered Extreme switches for satisfying these requirements but found that it does not support secondary addressing. We seek this switch to perform gigabit eth switching/routing.
Any suggestion for models? Thnx!
