Hi,
We have frame relay network. I will like to know if thre is a way to tell how long a physical interface (in this case a serial int) has been down by checking on the router.
I s there a way to tell or what to look at by doing for example a show int serial0 and tell how long that particular interface has been down.
Or are there any other commands I can invoke on a router to show or tell be how long a physical serial interfaces has been down.
If there are other ways to tell that i dont know of, any suggestions or input will graetly appreciated.
regards,
seun

yes u can if u configure service time
ROUTER2(config)#service timestamps log datetime

If you do a sh int s1/1
the last input counter should give you a rough idea when the int went down or when traffic last passed through this interface.
