I've recently upgraded my CiscoWorks2000 server with LMS 2.2 Update 1. Since then clients using the new JRE ver. 1.4.1_02 experience slowdowns when starting Topology Services or other Java apps...
Anyone experiencing something similar ?
Thx !

Initial login will be slow since the java cache is being filled, but subsequent logins are quick at least what I've seen so far in my setup.

For example, on my workstation the "System" process eats 99% of the CPU time for about 5-7min before topo. services can start up ...

My experience has been that topo takes a long time period, regardless of Java version. But on that note, as far as I know, CW2K does not support nor recommends any Java version above 1.3.1. If you have no Java loaded on your client, when you hit the CW URL, it should start downloading its perferred version. I would suggest removing 1.4.1. From what I understand, support for 1.4.1 is coming soon but it is not there now.
Hope this helps.
