Servuce Module for 2600/3600 Series router

I just want to know how important to configure all the options available in service module command. It's an interface command, and allows you to do lot of things. For example,

interface Serial 0/0

no shutdown

no description

service-module t1 clock source line

service-module t1 data-coding normal

service-module t1 remote-loopback full

service-module t1 framing esf

service-module t1 linecode b8zs

service-module t1 lbo none

service-module t1 remote-alarm-enable

service-module t1 timeslots 1,2

For me, the only commands are important will be

Framing ESF

Linecode b8zs

clock source line, and

timeslots depends what you are getting.

Are other command importants in terms of configuring, and what would be the drawback if they are not configured?

Thanks,

This link should help in determining, the importance of configuring each command ( though only the framing, clock source, timeslots, line code etc are the required commands).

i would not play with the lbo , data-coding, clock-source line unless your provider requests , I would recommend adding the remote-loopback remote-alarm commands , I would also add the command service-module t1 fdl both , these commands allow your provider to look at the registers of the internal CSU and also put up remote loopback, this can be very helpful if you experience line problems .
