Set IP Address for Cat 3550

Hi anyone,

How do I configure the Switch IP address for 3550 and 4006 ? This is because like for Cat 1900, we can use the command "Switch(config)# ip address x.x.x.x. y.y.y.y will do but I can't find the above command in Cat 3550 /4006.

Does it mean that once I am able to configure the IP address for the Cat 3550/4006, I am able to access the switch by using any web browser such IE or Netscape. In other word, does the Switch has got built in Web Server ?

Please help to clarify.

What model Supervisor do you have in youy CAT4006? If it's a Sup2, take a look at the following page for enabling web interface. This feature is not supported in Sup3.
