setting debounce timer

How can I enable debounce on a Catalyst 2980G-A switch.

Switch has CatOS ver 6.3(4)

I know the command is set port debounce <mod/port> enable

However, the switch does not recognize this command even though in the default config it is set port debounce <mod/port> disable for all ports.

Any help is appreciated.

This command is supported in CAT4k only from 7.2(x)
