Setting ISC interface with CSS11501

Hello,

at this time we use 2 CSS11501 with an ISC interface link. This link is directly connected between the 2 CSS with a cross copper cable.

For security purpose, i need to put one of the CSS in an other building.

Question : Can i replace my direct link with, for each CSS, a link connected to a switch and fiber connexion between switch ?

Do i need to use a specific vlan for this ports on the switch ?

you cannot use layer 2 devices on the ISC links.
